Each of us will choose to be a child of God or we will choose to be a child of Satan. This is a binary choice, as there are only two options. If we choose not to be a child of God, then by default we make the choice to be a child of Satan.
Children Of God
In all of Paul’s 13 epistles he is speaking to believers. These believers believed in the gospel of the grace of God found in I Corinthians 15:1-4. Paul tells us in Galatians 3:26-27 that we are children of God by our faith in Christ Jesus. Paul tells us that we put on Christ when we are baptized into Christ.
Galatians 3:26-27
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Paul tells us in I Corinthians 12:13 that the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the body of Christ.
I Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
In Colossians 3:3 we are told that as children of God, we are hid with Christ in God
Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
In Colossians 3:3 being dead means we are dead with Christ, and that we being dead with Christ, will also live with Christ as seen in II Timothy 2:11.
II Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him.
In this present age we are saved by believing the gospel of the grace of God, which is recorded in I Corinthians 15:1-4. In Ephesians 3:2 Paul tells us that he was given the dispensation of the grace of God. In Acts 20:24 Paul tells us that Jesus Christ gave him the ministry to testify of the gospel of the grace of God.
Ephesians 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward.
Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
We are saved by believing the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ + nothing. If we add to, or take away from the gospel, then we believe in vain, and are not saved. We are told these truths in I Corinthians 15:1-4.
I Corinthians 15:1-4
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
If we believe the gospel + nothing, then we are saved and become children of God. As children of God, we are spiritually baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ, we are dead with Christ, and we are hid with Christ in God.
Children Of Satan
In II Corinthians 11:14-15 we see that Satan is very deceitful and can transform himself into “an angel of light.” We are also told that Satan’s ministers can also be transformed as “the ministers of righteousness.”
II Corinthians 11:14-15
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Can we know who Satan’s ministers are? Yes, we can know them by what they preach and also by what they will not preach. Satan’s ministers will not preach the gospel of the grace of God in its pure and unadulterated form.
Satan’s ministers will instead make and preach a gospel of their own choosing. They take the gospel of the kingdom and combine it with the gospel of the grace of God. They then preach their false “combo gospel.” Can anyone even number all of the “combo gospels” preached all over the world today?
Satan’s ministers will not submit to the command of II Timothy 2:15 and rightly divide the word of truth. They will not preach that the word of truth is the gospel of our salvation. They will not preach that after we believe this gospel we are then sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until Christ redeems us (Ephesians 1:13-14).
II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Satan’s ministers are transformed as “the ministers of righteousness.” These men are highly esteemed in this world. These men have the appearance of being men of God, yet they deceive and are ministers of Satan.
Will you believe the gospel of I Corinthians 15:1-4 and become a child of God? If so, you will become a member of the “body of Christ.” You will be hid with Christ in God. You will be redeemed by Jesus Christ and meet Him in the clouds.
Or, will you be deceived by one of Satan’s ministers? Satan’s ministers appear as “the ministers of righteousness.” Their end shall be according to their works. They preach false gospels that cannot save, but can only destroy. Will you believe a false “combo gospel” preached by a minister of Satan? Will you forfeit your salvation and be a child of Satan?
