Please read the four (4) verses below (I Corinthians 15:1-4), and answer the following four (4) questions to determine if you are saved, and will live eternally in heaven with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I Corinthians 15:1-4
1 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
Please answer the following four (4) questions, (in your mind), which will determine if you are saved, and will spend eternity in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Question 1:
Does verse two (2) say that the (Good News) gospel saves you, unless you have believed in vain? Yes | No
Warning – “believing in vain” in verse two (2) means believing in anything other than Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. To add to, or take away from the gospel, causes us to “believe in vain.”
Question 2:
Do you understand that “believing in vain” means believing in anything other than the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ? Yes | No
Question 3:
Does verse three (3) and verse four (4) say in describing the (Good News) gospel that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures? Yes | No
Question 4:
Do you firmly believe the (Good News) gospel that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave on the third day? Yes | No
Congratulations, if you answered “YES” to the above four (4) questions, then you are saved. You have believed in the finished cross work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You have accepted and believed Christ’s sacrifice on your behalf, and now God the Father accepts you, as His child.
God does not keep anyone out of heaven. No, it is our unbelief of the gospel that keep us out of heaven.
