The question – will you be reconciled to God and become an ambassador for Christ? – is a question that I was never asked. Therefore, I never knew what it meant to be reconciled to God. I also never knew what it meant to be an ambassador for Christ. Likewise, I also didn’t know of the Ministry of Reconciliation.

It is only in the last five (5) years of my life that I have understood how to be reconciled to God, what it means to be an ambassador for Christ, and also understand the Ministry of Reconciliation. These concepts eluded me while I was wondering (worrying) if I was saved and if so, how I was saved.

Below, I have listed the verses where our Apostle Paul tells us that those who are saved have been given the Ministry of Reconciliation and are to be ambassadors for Christ.

II Corinthians 5:17-21

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The knowledge of my salvation took 62 years. However, it should not and it does not have to take that long for you to know and experience salvation when you know the “gospel truth” of salvation.

It is through the belief of the gospel of the grace of God recorded in I Corinthians 15:1-4 that we are saved and become reconciled to God. When we share this gospel with others we become ambassadors for Christ and become a part of the Ministry of Reconciliation.

The Gospel of the Grace of God

I Corinthians 15:1-4

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

Will you believe the gospel of the grace of God and be reconciled to God?

Will you then be an ambassador for Christ and become a part of the Ministry of Reconciliation by sharing the gospel of the grace of God with others?
