The mysteries that Paul taught were unsearchable, meaning that these “mysteries” were “new revelations” that Jesus Christ gave to Paul and were never a part of prophesy for the children of Israel.
In Ephesians 3:8 Paul refers to the mysteries that he was given, where he refers to himself as the least of all saints who was chosen to preach to the Gentiles the “unsearchable riches of Christ.”
Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Listed below are several of the mysteries that our Apostle Paul taught. These mysteries are a direct result of Jesus Christ’s revelations to Paul during the three years that Paul spent in Arabia. These mysteries were only taught by the Apostle Paul.
The Mystery of God’s Hidden Wisdom
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
The Mystery of the Rapture
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The Mystery of His Will
Ephesians 1:9-10 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself. That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
The Mystery of the Dispensation of the Grace of God
Ephesians 3:1-4 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
The Mystery of the Fellowship
Ephesians 3:9-10 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God
The Mystery of Christ and the Church
Ephesians 5:31-32 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
The Mystery of the Gospel of the Grace of God
Ephesians 6:19-20 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Mystery of the Indwelling Christ, the Hope of Glory
Colossians 1:26-27 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Peter Spoke of the Mysteries Which Were Given to Paul
In II Peter 3:15-16 Peter refers to the mysteries which were given to Paul. In verse 15 we see where Peter refers to Paul writing the Book of Hebrews for the children of Israel. In verse 16 Peter says that there some are things hard to understand in Paul’s 13 epistles. Peter goes on to say that those that are unlearned and unstable wrest (twist) Paul’s 13 epistles and that they do so unto their own destruction (eternal damnation).
II Peter 3:15-16
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
These “mysteries” that were ONLY given to Paul provide proof that our gospel of the grace of God is the gospel of our salvation. In fact, at this present time, the gospel of the grace of God is the ONLY gospel that provides salvation to the entire world.
