Satan’s agenda is to separate us from God. Satan started effectuating his plan in the Garden of Eden and has been going strong ever since that time. Satan tempted Eve with the promise that she and Adam would be as gods, knowing good and evil if they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Adam’s and Eve’s eyes were opened and they came to know good and evil. The sins of Adam and Eve separated them from God. We inherit the sin of Adam (Romans 5:12). In I Timothy 2:14 we are told that Adam was not deceived by Satan. Isn’t it that way for us today? Are we really deceived by Satan, or do we just give in to the temptation?

Our sins are a constant reminder of just how far we are separated from God. The more we sin, the more we are separated from God. Thank God, that He always had a plan for us. This plan of offering the Gentiles salvation through the gospel of the grace of God was hidden in God; otherwise Satan would not have killed our Lord and Savior (I Corinthians 2:6-8).

It is because of Adam’s sin that Jesus Christ had to die on the cross. Christ died so that He could take on our sins and by His shed blood we are justified in the sight of God. God reconciles us to Himself by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross (II Corinthians 5:18-19). We reconcile ourselves to God by our belief of the gospel of the grace of God (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

When we believe the gospel, and accept Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf, we are then given an eternity with Christ. To realize our eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will first have to die, unless we are raptured first. To be raptured or “caught up” is a blessing, since we will not experience the Tribulation (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Satan Will Be Defeated

We are told in Revelation 20:7-10 that Satan will be defeated. This defeat will come after Satan is loosed out of his prison that he will be kept in for 1,000 years. Satan will be allowed to deceive the nations after the Millennial Kingdom. There will be those born during the Millennial Kingdom which Satan will deceive and claim as his own.

God tells us in the Bible, that Satan will be defeated in the end. However, we can each defeat Satan in our lives by believing the gospel and accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. When we are saved, it is a defeat for Satan. You may have never been taught that you can defeat Satan, but it is true.

Now that you know that you can defeat Satan in your life by your belief of the gospel and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, will you help others defeat Satan by sharing the gospel? Paul tells us in Romans 10:15 “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” This verse refers back to prophesy spoken of in Isaiah 61:1.

We, as children of God within the “body of Christ” are not saved to just sit idly by and hope that others will share the gospel. If we do so, then we are not doing the work that God has given us to do. By not sharing the gospel, we are forgoing the eternal rewards that we will be given when we share the gospel and another soul is won for Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:9-15).

One Warning

Do not be deterred by those who will tell you that you cannot be certain of your salvation, or that tell you that you have to strive till the end to obtain salvation, or that tell you that you can lose your salvation. Call them liars, because they themselves call God a liar.

Those who say such things are not following God’s commandment of II Timothy 2:15 to “rightly divide the word of truth” – which is the gospel of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14). The gospel that saves us today is the gospel of the grace of God. Our gospel is recorded in I Corinthians 15:1-4.

Those that combine the gospel of the kingdom with the gospel of the grace of God and preach a “combo gospel” are not working for God, but for Satan. Combining two separate gospels together does not make a better gospel. No, it only makes it a man-made gospel that cannot save, but can only destroy.

Here on earth, Satan can be defeated one soul at a time.

The Eternal Question

Will you share the gospel of the grace of God, so that others can defeat Satan in their lives?
